Here's the free path, step by step. Start in Series. As of 2026-10-12 it holds 5 series and 32 episodes, each a 60–100-second vertical video with subtitles. Pick "I Can Hear Their Thoughts," starring Barbara and Melissa, and episodes 1 and 2 play without an account.

Below the player sits a "Start Chatting" button for the cast. Open Melissa's chat and her first photo is right there. The next one is blurred, with a lock and a "Sign Up" button over it.
A free account adds two extras: 2 reward Stars a day and a limited daily Feed. Money only enters at episode 3, which needs PRO plus a few Stars per episode.
Why does this matter for a pricing question? Because the Series is a better value test than any plan card. If you get to the end of episode 2 and still want to keep talking to Melissa, you've learned the subscription would actually get used. If you don't, you've saved yourself the monthly fee.

Spend all 100 Stars on photos and you get roughly 100 chat photos of the same character. The flow is simple: in any chat you tap the media button, describe the scene in your own words, and a photo comes back in about 20–45 seconds. It isn't a random stranger, either. Her face and body stay consistent with the avatar and with earlier shots, so the hundredth photo still looks like the girl you started with. For chat-first readers, GoLove's photo pricing kinda nailed it.
Video is a different story. The same 100 Stars stretch to about 10 short clips, which means video drains the allowance roughly ten times faster. A Video Note (the round talking clip with sound) also costs 10 Stars. So if there's one setting that decides how your month goes, it's which tab you open in Generate.

Annual Billing Pays Off After About Six Months of Use

Do the arithmetic once and the decision gets easy. Six months of GoLove PRO at $19.99 comes to $119.94. The annual plan is $119.88. In other words, a full year costs about what six monthly payments do, so annual only wins if you're still opening the app in month seven. Quit in month four and monthly was the cheaper call.
On annual-equivalent price alone, Replika's annual comes in under GoLove's, while OurDream matches GoLove almost to the cent.

Candy AI's annual billing works out lower still per month, but I wouldn't read the cheapest annual rate as the best deal. The coin layer still sets what you actually spend, and a hundred Stars, a hundred tokens and a thousand DreamCoins aren't the same unit. Candy AI says extra media usage can require buying more tokens. The comparison that matters is what one photo or one clip costs inside each app, and we could only confirm those per-action costs for GoLove.

Two more prices matter here: the top tier and the new-user discount.
ULTRA runs about $59.99/month, or about $359.88/year (~$29.99/mo). Over PRO it adds stronger AI models, an 8,000-message smart memory, more monthly Stars and a discount on Star refills. That's a heavy-user tier. My take: it earns its price only if your video habit would otherwise have you buying Star packs every month. If you mostly chat and ask for photos, PRO already has you covered, and the extra $40 a month buys you very little.
New visitors also see "First Subscription −70% · Exclusive Offer" on the sign-in screen and a "NEW USER · Limited-time bonus for new users · −70%" banner in Explore. GoLove calls it limited-time, and no countdown appears for a logged-out visitor. A cheaper first month makes the test cheaper. It doesn't change the real question, which is whether the app is worth keeping at the regular price.

Who GoLove.ai PRO Is NOT For
A bundle is only a bargain if you'd use what's in it. Three kinds of readers are better off elsewhere:
- Free-chat-only readers. If all you want is unlimited text chat at no cost, Character.AI keeps chat free, though it's strictly SFW. Janitor AI also lets casual chat cost nothing on its built-in model. For that use, either one is the better pick.
- Anyone after a male companion. GoLove's characters are Female and Trans, and Male is still marked "Soon" in the Explore filter. If you want a boyfriend, GoLove doesn't have one for you yet.
- Heavy video makers without a budget. Multi-scene clips and 720p videos chew through 100 Stars fastest, and packs start at about $9.99 for 30. If video is your main reason to subscribe, plan on buying top-ups.
Not in any of those three groups? Then the bundle gives you plenty for the money: adult chat, photos of the same character, voice messages and calls, and a Feed you never have to ration.

- Sample first. Watch episodes 1–2 of a Series, collect the 2 daily Stars and try the anonymous chat.
